New Blog!

Yet another blog clogging up the pages of the internet and trying to distract you from other, no doubt more noble, tasks? What possible reason could there be a) for me to spend time scribbling down my thoughts etc., and b) for you to waste your time browsing through them?

Good questions… which I may answer later. Perhaps.

I do, however, like to think that I just might have something to offer for those who might pause for a read. In fact, there are three specific areas that I intend blogging about, as follows:

  • Christian Stuff
  • Writing
  • Smallholding

Christian Stuff

Since one of the things I most enjoy is studying the Bible, I’m thinking of writing about anything I happen to come across in these studies. But I will also share my thoughts on life as a Christian and any questions / concerns / experiences that occur to me. In particular, as I am writing a study guide to the book of Joshua, I intend to blog on this.

As a novelist, I intend to share my experiences of this process here, in the hope it may be of either interest or assistance (or even both) to those who read it. One thing I specifically want to do is record the creation of a novel from concept to completion, including the process of publishing in ebook, paperback and audiobook formats.

By ‘smallholding’, I mean growing plants, keeping animals and making things to eat / drink, all for the purpose of becoming at least slightly self-sufficient. This is something I’ve been interested in since I was about 9 years old, though I didn’t really get started until 2005. Since I have kept chickens, rabbits, ducks, geese, pigs, goats and bees at my home on a residential estate in Alton Hampshire, all for the sole purpose of providing food for the table. So, dotted throughout this blog, will be records of my experiences in this area.

Not sure this hasn’t answered those questions, but welcome to my blog all the same.

Hope you’ll be back.
